Geoffrey Dale Wood's Obituary
On the evening of March 26, 2018, Geoffrey Dale Wood, age 49, passed from this world. He was a victim of Bipolar Disorder. After more than 20 years of struggle, he finally succumbed to the ravages of that progressive disease. He was an accomplished musician, composer, lyricist, poet, published author, playwright, actor, consummate performer and caring friend. He was loved by many and beloved by his family. He leaves behind his mother, father and brother, family and many friends and fans. Graveside services are private. But to honor his wishes and unique style, a non-traditional celebration and memorial will be open to all and held on Monday, April 2 at 3:00 pm in the Special Occasions Room, Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Road, Cordova, TN. Entry via the Senior’s entrance on the west side of the building is the most convenient. Geof was an avid story teller and to honor him you will be invited to share your stories and remembrances of him. Requested attire may range from the traditional to respectful upscale casual.
