Garry M. Greer's Obituary
Garry Murl Greer, age 61, passed away following a recent surgery for kidney cancer on February 23, 2016 in Collierville, TN. He was married to Patty Ann Whitworth Greer of Meridian, MS for 32 years. He also leaves two children, Jennifer Elizabeth Greer, 23 of Nashville, TN and Garry Tyler Greer, 29 of Collierville, TN; his mother, Charlene Limerick and step-father Oliver Limerick of Wahalah, MS; his brother Mark Greer and sister-in-law Robin of Meridian, MS; his half-brother, Robbie and sister-in-law Sheila Limerick of Livingston, AL and half-brother, Bobby Limerick of Wahalah, MS, niece, Kristi Smith, nephews, Jonathan Greer, Michael Greer, Logan Limerick, Eli Limerick; and many friends. Garry’s father, Toxie Greer preceded him in death. Garry graduated high school from Kemper Academy in DeKalb, MS and graduated from University of West Alabama in medical technology. He was a faithful member of Germantown Baptist Church. For the past 24 years he was employed as an air traffic controller and after retiring worked as a consultant for Washington Consultant Group. In 1994 Garry and Patty moved from Meridian, MS to Collierville, TN, where they made their home presently. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25 from 5-7 pm and a funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 26 all at Memorial park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Poplar Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lottie Moon Foreign Missions at the Church of your choice.
