Freeman C. Marr's Obituary
Freeman C. Marr died on December 17, 2015 at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nelda McClamroch, along with his children Virginia Yeatman, Andy Marr, John Marr and their families. Freeman lived in Memphis and Bartlett his entire life with vigor and honesty. He served in both WWII and the Korean War. After graduating from CBHS, Southwestern (Rhodes), and Southern Law School, he practiced law for over 60 years and served as Bartlett Judge for over 40 years. Simultaneously, Freeman coached track at Rhodes which was a great joy to him. He touched many lives and was wholly committed to the noble precept of public service, caring for his family and animals. A visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 20th from 3-4:30pm at Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church or Bartlett Animal Shelter. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. “Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”
