I’m so sorry that you lost your father. I always admired your dad. I have a really nice memory of him going all the way back to St Paul days. When we were playing peewee baseball I have such good memories of him and the gentle, firm way he treated me and all of us. I remember being very unsure of my abilities and being treated respectfully and in a caring way by him and while it may not seem important in the grand scheme, it was really impactful on an insecure and impressionable boy like me who wanted to excel. That wasn’t the case for every coach in those days which you know. But now looking back at it, I can see how that was a real demonstration of a person who had a lot of character and cared about people. He passed that down to you and his family and I’ve been grateful to call you a friend through these years. Will keep you and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know if I can do anything.
