Mr. Rick, you have always been a wonderful testimony of running your race well. Your faithfulness and kindness for our church family shined like diamonds. We will see you later!❤️
We are so blessed to have known Mr. Rick Dorris! He was a kind and hardworking man, always able to be depended upon. He was encouraging and supportive in the Worship Ministry at Trinity Baptist Church, where we first met him. He always wanted to know what we were planning to sing on Christmas and Easter many months in advance. He was faithful to serve the Lord in the choir until he couldn’t get up and down the stairs. What a faithful man that loved his Lord. Jon and I are grateful to have known him and look forward to seeing him again, complete and whole.
Ricky Dorris was a man of great consistency. In this man there is no guile. He was and now is even more so, a special creation of the Lord Jesus Christ. He knew his Bible and in Whom he believed. There were many times over 20 years that because Rick wanted to be at church when the doors were opened, and he would walk there if no one came by to get him, that I would find myself automatically going by on my way to church to pick him up. Many days his faithfulness was greater than my own. From that alone I received many blessings from knowing him.
Many years ago I believe God revealed to me that I saw Rick as he is in this world, with all the challenges and obstacles but always with the faithful heart that he always had. One day I will never forget, God allowed that I might get a glimpse of what Rick would look like walking streets of God with His friend and Savior Jesus. I am comforted even now to remember that vision and to know that we have never seen anything like unto Ricks new life and body. Praise the Lord Jesus. As Rick did in this life, he still gives us hope because his faithfulness to the Lord is the Faithfulness of the Lord Himself. And as Rick trusted Him, we can also trust the Lord to walk with us. And those under the blood, we will see him again with all the saints in Glory.
Thanks Rick for being such a great blessing in my life.

I’ve known Rick for all my life and what a testament of faithfulness and perseverance! He’s shown me what it’s like to remain a servant to God in all circumstances.
Rick Dorris was a kind man and a hard worker. He loved the Lord and his church and was proud to be a member of the choir at Trinity Baptist Church. His work is over here on earth and he is singing with the saints in his heavenly home. He is no longer struggling with health and is at peace with his Savior. He will be missed but many of us will be joining him someday and will rejoice to be home.
