Fred Jones Jr.'s Obituary
Fred Jones Jr was a caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He was born to Fred and Minnie Pearl Jones on April 26, 1962 in Sledge Mississippi.
He fell sleep in death on Aug 29, 2024 at 62 years old. Fred attended Carver and South Side High School.
During High School, Fred worked at the Reddy Ice Company. After graduation, he worked with his father in Construction. In 1988 he became a superviser at MPL - Motion Picture Laboratory. In 1999 he went on to become a Warehouse Coordinator at Baxter Pharmaceutical where he worked for 25 years.
In the Fall of 1979, Fred met a friend who would later become his wife. Fred and Charlotte married September 26th of 1981 and enjoyed 43 years together.
Fred enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, grilling, manicuring his lawn, car shopping, couponing, cooking, and sports. He especially loved football and was a die hard Steelers fan. He enjoyed traveling. His favorite place was Hot Springs Arkansas where he would sit out on the lake, catch a couple of fishes, walk the trails, just relaxing. Fred had a love for life and people. He loved his children and his grand children were his pride and joy.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Charlotte Jones, four children Kacinta (Chris), Ka’ren (Velente), Ke’rah, and Kordell. Eight grandchildren, Ke’len, Christopher, KeJuan, Klassic, Kingston, Kruz, Christian, and Laila. Four sisters, Mae (James), Erma, Sarah, and DeLois. Two brothers Eddie and Lewis, his father Fred Jones Sr, and mother-in-law Ledell Windless. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, an aunt, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Pearl.
Serivces for Fred will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00am in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation an hour prior to the service starting at 10:00am.
