Fred Cecil's Obituary
Fred Joseph Cecil, 79, of Germantown, TN passed away on March 7, 2013. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Cecil was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for 36 years and was a member of Knights of the Columbus. He was retired from Kroger as the Meat Merchandiser. Mr. Cecil is survived by his wife of over 56 years Katherine Cecil, two daughters, Linda Von Thaden and Katherine A. Waldrop, three sons, Anthony G. Cecil, Fredie J. Cecil, Jr., and Richard, H. Cecil, three sisters, Helen Fowler, Mary Moody, and Martha Sue Denton, two brothers, Harold Cecil, Raymond Cecil, 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Von Thaden, and his siblings, Rose Anne Johnson, Edward Cecil, and Eugene Cecil. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, March, 8, 2013 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 9, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8151 Poplar Ave., Germantown, TN. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
