I remember Shelby as a little boy, such a beautiful blonde blue-eyed creature with an insatiable curiosity about everything. He seemed 45 and 5 at the same time. He was clearly so intelligent, interested in things way beyond his years but also loved a good Power Puff Girls episode which made him all the more interesting and wonderful. I will hold this memory of Shelby forever. I’m guessing he was in 6th or 7th grade. The kids and myself would frequently attend mass at St. Michaels and so would Shelby. He would usually sit right behind us. He was always by himself. I always thought what a responsible kid. He would ride his bike from his moms house or he would get dropped off. Several time after mass I would drop him off at his moms. He was a great example to my young children for attending mass by any means possible. I am so grateful to Mimi and Sheperd for bringing Frank into this world and my life. Although I knew him briefly his wit, dedication and genius touched my life. I saw myself in him and the way he felt the pain of the world so strongly. He has touched my life and I’m sure the lives of many others. I will hold him in a special place in my heart forever.
I’ll never forget the day Shelby played “McDonald’s” with Audrey! I’m sure she remembers it well. It warmed my heart sooo much to see how much he loved her. He was ALWAYS so kind to all the kids.
I will love him to infinity and beyond. My love will never end.
So many good good memories that will forever be in my heart. I’m so thankful to have known Shelby and he truly was the first baby I ever fell in love with. He was a joy to me and my family and I am so thankful for all our laughs, hugs and wonderful memories. I will miss him forever and will run to him in Heaven!!
