Franklin Delano Crowe's Obituary
Franklin Delano Crowe, 85, from Pickwick, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 2, 2018. Franklin was a long-time member of Second Presbyterian Church, where he met and married his wife June, whom he was preceded in death by after 52 years of marriage. He retired from the University of Tennessee, where he bought and sold medical and dental supplies. In his retirement years, he faithfully attended Amen Bible Study at church every Thursday morning. He especially enjoyed exercising and developing friendships at the Nuber YMCA. He had a “green thumb” and expert knowledge of different flowers and plants. He was a kind and compassionate man who loved animals, the outdoors, and early mornings. His service in the Army instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism.Franklin is survived by his daughter Cathy Crowe; daughter Lori Frederick (Bobby); grandchildren Ashley and John Mark Frederick; brother James(Delores) Crowe of Houston, TX; and sisters Lila McLaughlin of Memphis, TN; Reda Pickens of Florence, AL; and Becky Montgomery (Gwen) of Tuscumbia, AL.The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 7th from 11am until 12:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The funeral will be at 1pm via an escorted cortege to Second Presbyterian Church 4055 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The burial will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods, 5485 Hacks Cross Road in Memphis.
