Frank Norris' Obituary
Frank Norris, Jr., 88, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2015. He was formerly from Memphis, TN but has resided in the Orlando, FL area for the last 30 years. He was an active member and former yolkfellow of First Baptist Orlando serving in missions work. He was a masonry contractor and worked in the masonry business over 60 years. He was a 33rd degree mason and a lifetime member of the Scottish Rite and Al Chymia Shrine. He was a veteran who served in the Merchant Marine division of the U.S. Coast Guard and earned a War Zone Atlantic Medal and Merchant Marine Combat Bar. Frank had a deep love for his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them all.He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Myrtle Jenkins Peeler Norris. One daughter, Teresa N. Hataway (Johnny) of Memphis, TN, Two sons: Timothy Frank Norris (Winter Garden, FL) and Marcus W. Peeler (Como, MS) and Six grandchildren: Kasey L. Norris (Winter Garden, FL), Sara Nicholas (Longwood, FL), T.J. Norris (Altamonte Springs, FL), Zachary W. Peeler (Castleberry, FL), M. Wayne Peeler (Brooke) of Ocoee, FL and Frank Weston Hataway (Memphis, TN).The visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery at 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN starting at 10:30 a.m. with the funeral to begin at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Orlando/Missions Ministry @3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32805.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119,”Behind the Stone Wall.”
