Leake Little
My sincere sympathies to Becky, Penny, Thomas and Smithson for the loss of Fetzer. He certainly did live life on his own terms, with insights derived from a steady ethical compass. His fight and struggle with Wilson's did not define him - he rose above that which we could not fully understand to blaze his own path across the South, sharing a clever yet mischievous point of view as he left each scene. I was always happy to be his useful idiot on any adventure but his arc was greater - his sights set higher and his appreciation of talent more fecund. Don't know how he met Becky (never heard that story) but I do know how much he needed her. As partners they raised many happy fur babies together, and just as nurturing Becky gave Fetzer space to be his own person. He was a storyteller at heart, sharing his art with every keen ear. I'll miss him. But he's sure to live on in memories we keep, the ones we share and the ones he would want us to make without him. God bless you son - you were our leader in every childhood adventure, even if Pee Dee didn't win the ballgame... I'll never forget you.
