Frank Cortese It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Cortese announces his passing after battling cancer. He passed on November 22, 2018, at the age of 80 years surrounded by his family.Frank knew how to enjoy life, as a fabulous cook, a lover of classic movies and someone who enjoyed being with people and telling great stories. He was married to Michele Cortese for 46 years before her passing in 2008 and had three wonderful children Cherie, Charlene and Robert. He also has six grandchildren, Richard (Tony), Tommy, Sean, Michele, Elliot and Kaylen.Frank grew up in Hazleton Pennsylvania and lived in the Philadelphia area before moving to Memphis with Mobile Chemical Company in 1977. Frank had a very successful career as an executive in the plastics industry. Although he was a big fan of University of Memphis sporting teams, one of Frank’s greatest desires was realized when his Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52 last year.A Funeral Service in memory of Frank will be held at the following locations.The Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29 at 5:00 – 7:00 PM Memorial Park Funeral Home 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119The Funeral will be held on Friday, November 30 at 10:00 AM St. Louis Catholic Church 203 S White Station Rd.
