Francis Dale Kintner's Obituary
Francis Dale Kintner of Germantown, TN passed peacefully on July 8th. Mr. Dale as he was called by his many friends was born on January 9, 1930 in East St. Louis, MO.
He leaves behind his sons Michael (Marilyn) of Collierville, TN and Larry of Oakland, TN, his daughter-in-law Marcia Kintner of Northport, AL; his brother James Kintner of St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren (Steven, Andrew, Ryan, Jeffrey, Bryant, Adrianne and David) and three great grandchildren (Taylor, Amelia and Johnathan). He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Sue, son Jeffrey, his parents Milton and Olive and six of his seven siblings (Vera, Carlos, Lester, Paul, Daniel and Ella Nora).
Dale grew up in a loving Christian home where the Bible was taught and hymns were sung. He learned early on that he needed Jesus in his life. Dale had the same gentle, loving nature as his mother. He had a servant’s heart and strived to care for and encourage others. He was also smart and quick-witted. Church and music were foundations that he later passed on to his children. He served as a music leader, Sunday school teacher and deacon at various churches.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS where he met the love of his life, Betty Sue, his wife of 52 years. His training led him to a career in management with General Electric and later with Honeywell Information Systems. He also worked at the Naval Air Center in Millington, TN before retiring.
After retirement he enjoyed numerous road trips and cruises. Visiting with his children, grandchildren and extended family brought joy to his days.
To know Dale was to love him.
The visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the service time at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
