Francine Heyer's Obituary
Francine Annette Mitchell Heyer, 85 beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many died peacefully at home in the presence of her family after many months of declining health. She was born May 4, 1931 in Jackson TN. to the late Zack and Drucilla Mitchell. A popular graduate of Humes high school, class of 1949 she was active in many school activities. She married Fred Heyer her devoted husband of 65 years at Decatur Street Christian Church and became a dedicated “Stay At Home Mom and Housewife”. In 1951 she joined Fred and became a member of Historic Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active for many years. A dedicated Christian. She taped numerous religious programs, enjoyed relaxing by the back yard swimming pool and vacationing in their various RV ‘s. Above all, the sincere love for her family was foremost. Along with her parents she was pre deceased by her daughter Deborah Duke and brother David Mitchell. She is survived by her sons , Ronald and Kenny Heyer and daughter Angela Johnson (Jerry), grandchildren Crystal (Matt), Jesse, Courtney, Bobby, Ben (Kristian), Brandon (Katie), great grandchildren Benjamin, Wyatt and Aubrie. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10-11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 210 Washington Avenue on Saturday, July 2. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. to be followed by a reception in the fellowship hall from 12-1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family request memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Amedisys Hospice or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank all who have shown their love and support through cards, visits, flowers and other expressions of love.
