Frances H Williams' Obituary
Frances Gene Hannaford Williams slipped away peacefully with a smile on her face Sunday morning, August 9, 2015 in Memphis, TN with two of her daughters in witness. She was 89 years old, born on February 9,1926 in Pittsboro, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Hewlett Hannaford and Lee Smith Bailey and by her loving husband of 34 years, Harry Morgan Williams. She is survived by her four daughters, Lana Lee Williams Marler (Bill) of Memphis, Lucy Lynn Williams Gardner (Tom) of Memphis, Linda Lawrence Williams Farmer (Jeff) of Murfreesboro, TN and Leslie Lucille Williams Cromwell (Chad) of Primm Springs, TN. She was the proud “Nana” of nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and six beloved nieces and nephews. Always referred to as “G” by her husband and the love of her life, Frances “G”ene was a devoted child of God and follower of Jesus Christ, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to man. Generous and kind to everyone she met, she walked in beauty, grace and love all her days. In lieu of flowers, her family requests any memorial gifts be sent to her church of the past 32 years, New Life Church, 1747 Bartlett Rd., Memphis, TN 38134. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Mayfield, KY with a graveside service followed by interment at Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield which is located on State Highway 303 at Central Ave. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.
