Frances Louise Riddling's Obituary
FRANCES LOUISE RIDLING, 87, of West Memphis, Arkansas, died February 24, 2012 after an extended illness. Louise, the daughter of the late Rosie and Morgan Keith, was born on December 27, 1924, in Franklin, Tennessee. She later moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she met and married William Earl Ridling. She and Earl developed Earl’s Hot Biscuits Restaurant on Crump in 1945. They later expanded across the Mississippi River with two additional restaurants in West Memphis, Arkansas. While in West Memphis, they ventured into a new business with Earl’s Razorback Cleaners. Louise was a lifetime member of The Order of Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Delores Saucer, her husband Earl, and her youngest son, Steven Craig Ridling. She is survived by two sons, Earl Wayne Ridling of Lebanon, Tennessee and James Keith Ridling of West Memphis, Arkansas, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. These words were written by Louise before her death. “Wishing all my former employees and friends the best of luck. I will meet you in Heaven so don’t disappoint me. As for my family, I love you with all my heart. I’ll be looking down on you from Heaven. Take care of your loved ones. Love to all, Louise Ridling.” Visitation will be on Monday, February 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue, with graveside services immediately following in Memorial Park Cemetery.
