Whenever my neighbor and friend, Francis, was outside and saw me, she always took the time to stop what she was doing to speak and catch up on things going on in our lives. She was extremely friendly and was always quick to offer help when any need arose; a true Christian.Over the recent years, she’s suffered some significant losses and injuries but amazed me each time at her resilience to not let it get her down for too long. I would often drop by to simply visit with her during these times of need but especially enjoyed the times I would bring her some homemade dinner. She was always very appreciative. On Thanksgiving of this year (2015) I brought her over a large plate of homemade fixings and she explained to me how another neighbor she recently met at a garage sale had invited her over for Thanksgiving Dinner. Although I could tell she was very full from the previous meal, she politely tried a few items and then said that she was going to freeze the rest and was looking forward to having it at a later date. One of the best things about Francis was when she would tell you one of her stories. She would always get so excited with her discussions as they were always heart felt. You could tell this because it was written all over her face. I would always notice her complexion get brighter and her smile a little wider.I will always remember Francis as a truly lovely woman, intelligent, bubbly and fun.I know she is in a better place making new friends and keeping others smiling. She will be missed. My Deep Regards, Lee Spencer
