Frances Harrison's Obituary
FRANCES HARRISON, 88, of Memphis, died December 1, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. She traveled extensively as an Army wife living in Japan and the Western U.S. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked as a survey specialist for the University of Chicago and sold real estate in Memphis. Before returning to Memphis, she and her husband, Haskel retired permanently in Southwest Arkansas. She was an active lifelong Democrat and a friend of Bill’s. She was an early and vocal proponent of civil rights and was an antiwar military Mom during Vietnam. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and an Elder. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Haskel, Sr. She has two sons, Hack (Lynn), her primary caregiver, and Gary (Janet); a daughter, Myra (Jerry); and eight beloved grandchildren.
