Frances Boyd Farrish's Obituary
Frances Boyd Farrish, 88, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017. She was a loving wife and mother, a great homemaker, avid gardener and cook. Frances was active in Ruleville Baptist Church, Ruleville, MS. where she taught youth groups and young mothers groups. After moving to Memphis she was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church for 26 years where she was active in the child care department. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Orin Farrish. She is survived by 1 daughter, Janet Farrish Miller; 3 sons, Hubert Orin Farrish, Jr., Allen Boyd Farrish (Sheley), Henry Holmes Farrish (Patricia); 1 brother, Gus Boyd; 2 sisters, Ruth Jefcoat and Minnie Braswell; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 am, Friday, June 2, 2017, followed by funeral services at 11:30 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home.The services have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis TN 38119 (901) 767-8930. “Celebrating Life….Behind the Stone Wall.”
