Frances Braden Downing's Obituary
Frances Braden Downing, 79, of Memphis passed away at Highlands of Memphis, on Saturday, July 11, 2009.She was born on a farm in Sabinal, TX and lived in El Paso before moving to Memphis in 1979.Mrs. Downing earned her masters degree in 1952 from Texas College of Mines. She was an Advertising Manager for the Bulletin of the American Contract Bridge League.Mrs. Downing is survived by her son; David Arthur Downing and his wife DJ, and their children Jean Marie Downing and James Francis Downing. A daughter; Amy Downing and her husband Michael Schreiber of Memphis, a sister; Barbara Johnson of Dallas, TX and a brother James Braden, of Sabinal, TX.The visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 15 at St. Anne Catholic Church, located at 706 S. Highland, Memphis TN.Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church Organ Fund.
