Florine Ray Lehman's Obituary
Florine Ray Lehman, 95 years young, of Ripley, TN peacefully departed this world on December 25, 2023 in her sleep after an acute illness with influenza.
She was born in Ripley to Morris and Flora Ray. She attended grade school in Edith, TN and later business professional and real estate schools in her adult life. She worked at many local businesses in Ripley and Dyersburg, TN and then moved to Germantown, TN where she owned and operated several businesses including those in real estate for 30 years.
Florine was preceded in death by her husband Colonel Albert Lehman, her beloved brother Donald Ray, her sister Daisy Stewart and her parents. She did not have children, but is survived by family that, in her own special and unique loving ways, she considered her own.
Florine was a beloved soul, cherished by family and known as “Sister” and friends alike who knew her as “Flo.” Her warm heart, unwavering generosity, and lively spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her transition out of this life on Christmas Day so beautifully embodied her love of holidays, family, and friends. Florine’s legacy is one of love, compassion, hard work, amazing resilience, and a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, her memory living on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Florine will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 12:00pm at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation an hour prior to the service starting at 11:00am in the Fireside Chapel.
