Fannye Pritchard's Obituary
Fannye Myrtis Dismukes Pritchard, 94, of Olive Branch, MS. passed away December 10, 2013. She was preceded in death by her father George E. Dismukes, her mother Flora Posey Dismukes, and her husband Henry Frank Pritchard. Fannye is survived by her daughter Martha A. Patchell (husband Patrick) of Memphis; son Joseph A. Pritchard (wife Anne) of Southaven; 2 granddaughters: Melany M. Pritchard of New York City, and Demi M. Pritchard who is a student at The University of Southern Mississippi. Fannye graduated from Humes High School and retired from Illinois Central Railroad. Mrs. Pritchard also attended classes at The University of Tennessee at Memphis and Memphis State University. Mrs. Pritchard was a widely published author. She was a faithful member of Olive Branch Church of Christ. She was Past Worthy Matron of Stonewall 280 Order of Eastern Star, dedicated volunteer with the Red Cross, Agape, and Truth for the World. She served as Past President of Mid- South Writers Association, and was a member of Tennessee Poetry Society. Flowers may be sent to Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family also wishes that memorials be sent to Agape, Olive Branch Church of Christ, Spring Valley Hospice, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and also Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Olive Branch Church of Christ with funeral service to follow visitation.
