Everett Thomas Nichols' Obituary
Everett Thomas Nichols passed into Eternal Glory on February 18, 2024 due to complications of surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at age 77, with his son Thomas at his side.
He joins his wife of 47 years, Peggy Stanford Nichols, who passed away from this Earth September 17, 2017.
Survived by their son Thomas Everett Nichols, daughter Melissa Lynn Moreno, five grandsons; Spencer Doonan, Eric Nichols, Tyler, Chase, & Ryan Crouch and 3 great granddaughters; Kyleigh, Raya, & Jayzlynn Doonan.
Everett Nichols was a proud Navy Veteran who bravely and honorably served our Country for two active-duty tours during the Vietnam war.
He loved this Country and his family and they traveled extensively to share much of the wondrous beauty in the Rocky Mountains, the Appalachian Mountain Range, The Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, Yellowstone National Park, Hawaii and too many more to list here. Adventures galore!
He was a self-taught Photographer, Ham Radio enthusiast, built many things with his son and grandsons sharing his love of trains & model planes, guitar, and his Naval “CAN DO” attitude that never wavered.
The visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday March 5, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Celebration of Life service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at West TN Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Well done Sir. You are so missed by so many. Rest now in peace “Ironman.”
