Evelyn "Boonie" Terral's Obituary
Evelyn Jean Deavers Terral, affectionately known by all as “Boonie” passed away of natural causes on July 3, 2021, at age 89.
She lived a long, beautiful life, surrounded by many friends and family who will fondly remember her smart wit, her love of laughter, her generous and giving nature, and her grace and beauty. Described by many as the consummate Southern Lady, we will all miss her kindness, love of family, and dedication to volunteerism.
Boonie is survived by her three loving children: Byron Scott Terral (wife, Shirley), Evelyn Ann Terral Crowell “Cookie”, and Rebecca Lynn Terral Wiggins (husband, Mike); six grandchildren: Stacey Eileen Terral Farlow, Emily Elizabeth Terral Allen, Katharine Brooke Crowell, Jeffery Archer Crowell, Zachary Scott Wiggins, and Sawyer Michael Wiggins; two great-grandchildren: Bennett Scott Schorfhaar, Taylor Rayne Crowell; siblings: Tom Deavers, Souzen Deavers Steelhammer, Jackie Trotter, John Trotter, George Trotter, Peggy Trotter Hughes, Ann Trotter Barron; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, all who were well loved by Boonie.
She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, William and Frances Deavers, her mother and step-father, Elisabeth and Jack Trotter, her adoring husband, Byron V. Terral, Jr., and three siblings, William “Sonny” Deavers, Doris Deavers Kennon, and Nancy Trotter Griffin.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 8 at 1:30 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. all in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
