Evelyn Styers' Obituary
Doris Evelyn Williams Styers, 89, passed away on March 21, 2011.She was born on March 18, 1922 in Lauderdale County, TN to Robert H. Williams and Grace Mallory Harper Williams. Evelyn graduated from Lanphier High School in Springfield, Illinois, where she moved after the death of her mother. After graduation, she returned to West Tennessee where she lived until her death, living primarily in Memphis and Bartlett, TN. She enjoyed reading mostly about travel and gardening, watching old movies, as well as watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. Also, she loved showing off pictures of her family from oldest to youngest at all stages in their lives. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert Styers; her dear sister, Katherine Marbott; and her beloved daughter, Katherine Mallory Styers Irving. She is survived by her son, John R. Styers of Ocala, FL; son, Michael F. Styers of Bartlett, TN; daughter, Linda Marie Simpson (Larry); daughter Jeanne Bleu (Tim Parks); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, Rose Marie Simpson and Amiah Ann Styers. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 Thursday, March 24 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Graveside Services will follow at 11:00 in Memorial Park Cemetery.
