Evelyn Craft Scrimger's Obituary
Evelyn Craft Scrimger, 91, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of her beloved late husband, Edward Brantly Scrimger, Sr. for more than 69 years. She was much loved by her two children, Carolyn Scrimger Carter and Edward Brantly Scrimger, Jr.; her five grandchildren, Brantly Carter, Catherine McCallon, Constance Carter, Analisa Sondergaard, and Alan Scrimger; and her five great-grandchildren. She was a career educator teaching high school and college mathematics. Her career included White Station High School in the late 1950s through the early 1960s and Memphis University School in the late 1970s. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 for family and friends with a service to follow, all in the Rotunda within the Mausoleum at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. As a devoted educator, Mrs. Scrimger would like any memorials to be sent to the school of the donor’s choice.
