Evelyn Jean Prewett's Obituary
Evelyn Jean Prewett joined her loving husband of 49 years Elmer Raymond Prewett Jr to be with the Lord on December 20, 2021.
Jean was born in Memphis, Tennessee on July 7, 1943. She attended St. Agnes Academy in Memphis, and graduated in 1961.
Jean was a hairdresser for many years and upon returning back to Memphis from a move from North Carolina went to work for the Brunswick Winchester Bowling Center where she was employed for over 25 years before retiring. Jean enjoyed bowling in leagues and traveling to tournaments, dining out with friends and family, and pretty much anything Mickey Mouse.
Jean was a devoted loving Wife and Mother who is survived by her daughter Chevelle Melber and Son-in-law Chris of Spring, Texas, her son Steven Prewett and Daughter-in-law Annette of Greer, SC, her late Son Frankie Williams, and Step-son Mike Prewett of Memphis, Tennessee. Jean also leaves 4 Grandchildren Lindsey King, Lauren Vaughn, Chris Prewett, and Perry Westman, 8 Great-grandchildren Landyn Riddles, Layla Duplantis, Chloe and Brayden Prewett, Colten and Caden King, and Layne and Dakota Vaughn, and numerous brother-in-law‘s, sister-in-law‘s nieces and nephews.
Visitation to be held December 30, 2021 at 1:00 with funeral services at 2:00 at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119 with Graveside services to be held following the funeral services at Forest Hill Cemetery South on 2545 E. Holmes Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38118.
