Eva Yules' Obituary
Eva Yules, daughter of Erich and May Gumpert passed away on Oct 18, 2013 in Memphis, TN. She leaves behind her daughter Michelle Lehman (Jeff Lehman), grandchildren Evan & Mattea Lehman, brother Gary Gumpert (Esther), nephews Eric Gumpert, Matthew Gumpert (Sirma) and great-nieces Yasemin and Melisa, dear friends and so many “adopted” children. She gave birth to one girl but had a heart so big that she treated everyone like family. She was so generous, to a fault, that she often did without so other people wouldn’t. She loved to cook, travel and shop. She loved her dogs and reading, crocheting and needlepoint. She was born in Amsterdam the day World War II started and fought many battles throughout her life. Although she wasn’t always victorious, she was a fighter until the very end. She grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, lived in the Bronx, Queens & Manhattan . She also lived in Vietnam and Thailand in the late 60’s and early 70’s. She moved to Germantown to be close to her family. She loved her family more than anything and was an adoring grandmother. She said she was like Peter Pan and quite proud of the fact that she never really grew up. Services will be at Temple Israel, 1376 E Massey Rd. at 5:30PM Sunday October 2013. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, (901)767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”
