Eva Dixon's Obituary
Eva Stella Vescovi Dixon, 100, of Memphis, retired Florist, died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital. She was the oldest of seven children, whose parents came from Italy to the United States at the turn of the century. She owned and operated Highland Park Florist on Highland in East Memphis for 36 years. Mrs. Dixon was a communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Alex Vescovi, and her son, Jerry Dixon. Surviving is her son, Louis Vescovi of Indianapolis, IN; her 9 grandchildren, Sabrina (John), Vickie, Tina, Greg, Rex, Katrina (Daron), Deanna, Melanie (James), and Tony (Kristin); and her 10 great grandchildren, Kyle, Kaelyn, Xavier, Sierra, Alex, Michael, Riley, TJ, Cole and Savannah. Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday, April 16, 2010 from 5 – 7 with a Rosary Service at 6:30. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
