Eunice Wilson's Obituary
Eunice Grace Wilson, 83, of Memphis passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 after a courageous battle against the results of a recent stroke. She was born on August 3, 1927 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a retired register nurse and nursing supervisor within the Baptist Hospital system. She was a member of Evergreen Presbyterian Church where she loved her Sunday School Class, the Presbyterian Women’s Group, being a deacon and the many other activities in which she participated. She crocheted many blankets for families of newborns. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Hayes Wilson, Jr.; father, Harold Lewis; mother, Dorothy Lewis; son, Steven Wilson; daughter, Eunice White; and son, Timothy Wilson. Survivors include her son, Willard Hayes Wilson III and wife Joy; daughter, Rebekah Griffin and husband Robert, all of Memphis; son, Mark Wilson and wife Kathleen of Cleveland, TN, brother, Sam Lewis of Fort Myers, FL; sisters, Pat Gerke and Dodie Ramsey and husband Paul, all of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter-in-law, Joyce Hill and husband Bo of Florissant, MO; daughter-in-law Kim Wilson of North Wilksboro, NC; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, in the Evergreen Presbyterian Church sanctuary with Pastor Ken Letterman officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 10 to 11 am prior to the memorial service.
