Eunice Kimes Eubanks' Obituary
Eunice Kimes Eubanks, 95, of Memphis, TN, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2021.
Visitation will be 1:00 Monday, November 22, 2021, with the funeral immediately afterwards. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 22, 2021, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, “behind the stone wall,” with Dr. Danny Sinquefield of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Eunice was born in Cruger, MS, to Frankie Alberta Noah and Joseph Edward Kimes on February 17, 1926. From 1943-1948 she was a member of the US Cadet Nurse Corps program and graduated from the School of Nursing at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She worked as an RN at Baptist Hospital. Eunice was married Dr. Otha Albert Eubanks Jr. from 1951 until he died in 1983. Eunice grew award-winning roses and won awards for her floral arrangements. She loved spending time with her family, reading her Bible, and helping others. Her hobbies included playing bridge and gardening. She had a passion for birds.
Eunice is preceded in death by her husband, daughter (Joy Eubanks), parents, brothers (Thomas, Melvin, and Alvin), and sisters (Pauline, Mamie, and Grace).
Eunice is survived by her children Jack (Jackie) Eubanks, Rick Eubanks; her sister Rena (Jimmy) Lee; her grandchildren Angela (Paul) Neely and Michael Eubanks; and her great- granddaughters, Morgan and Lauren Neely.
Pallbearers will be Michael Eubanks, Paul Neely, Parker Dye, Heath McCurdy, Gary Ballard.
