Eunice Louise Carman

Eunice Louise “Lou” Carman, age 93, passed away on December 17, 2021. She was born February 22, 1928 in Barton, Arkansas. After graduating from Helena High School, she attended nursing school in Florida where she met her future husband, Ray, and settled in Memphis.
Lou worked at St. Joseph Hospital and then helped to open St. Francis Hospital where she was ninth floor head nurse until her retirement. She loved her family, traveling, yellow flowers, and backyard cookouts. She was the life of every party she attended.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ray Carman.
She leaves behind a sister, Mary Ferguson of Conway, AR, one daughter, Donna Carman of Memphis, as well as three sons; Mark Carman (Jane) of Pocahontas, AR, John Carman (Susan) of Bella Vista, AR, Steve Carman (Caroline) of Memphis, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and another on the way.
The family requests any memorials be made to Church Health Center in Memphis, TN.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 23 at 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. all in the Fireside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Due to the pandemic, the family respectfully requests those attending the visitation and service to wear masks.
