Ervin Clark Wilson's Obituary
Ervin Clark Wilson, 85, of Memphis, Tennessee, died peacefully on Saturday, June 1 at the Veteran’s Home of West Tennessee in Humboldt, Tennessee. He was born on April 2,1939 to the late Billie Frank and Pansy Elizabeth (McNair) Wilson in Memphis, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Joy Maureen Wilson, Malcolm McNair Wilson (Claudia), Faye Wilson Boyle, Edward Delano Wilson, Norman Winston Wilson, Kaye Elizabeth Wilson, Neil Gordon Wilson, and Billie Frank Wilson, Jr. He is survived by his daughter Paige Elizabeth Wilson Marcantel (Brian), brother Terry Melvin Wilson (Lynda), brother Jerry Marvin Wilson (Reeder), grandchildren Madeline Grace Marcantel, Graham Nelson Marcantel, Harrison Clark Marcantel, and Bennett Wilson Marcantel, and many nieces and nephews.
Ervin was a graduate of Humes High School in Memphis and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Berclair, #771 F&AM, and member of the Al Chymia Shriner’s Temple and served in the Provost Guard for many years. He retired from Fleming Furniture after a long career in sales. Ervin was a very loyal friend and family member and had many lifelong friends.
The family would like to thank the West Tennessee Veteran’s Home for their years of wonderful care and would especially like to thank his dear nurses Missy, Rita, Elisa and Ashley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Al Chymia Shrine Temple.
The visitation will be held, Friday, June 7 at 1 pm, with graveside service at 2 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, Tennessee.
