Ernesto Gonzalez's Obituary
Ernesto Gonzalez went home to be with Jesus on January 25, 2026. He was 88-years-old. Ernesto came from Cuba in 1964 with his beautiful bride, Elia Margarita Santiesteban, and his baby boy, Josue. His little American daughter, Esther, was his princess. It was a 65-year romance and the American Dream. He kissed the ground when he arrived in this country. He dreamed of success and hard work. Within just a few years, he became an American citizen and, eventually, owned and operated several gas stations in New Jersey. He always put his family first and honored God. He retired at 56 years of age and lived in Miami Beach for 30 years. We will never forget his smile, his passion for cars, his deep love for America and, most of all, his love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ernesto is survived by his wife, Elia, daughter Esther, son Josue, his sister, Miriam Perez, and his grandchildren, Matthew Ernesto, Houston Evans, Tech Sgt. Garrett Evans, Giovanna Creighton, Savannah Drake, and JJ Gonzalez.
