Ernestine Dean's Obituary
Ernestine Sutherland Dean, 94, passed away June 16, 2015. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the service begins at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 19 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. She was born in Arkansas on January 13, 1921. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Bill” to many because as a small child her father, for whom she was named, nicknamed her “Bill”. Aunt Bill retired from K-Mart and attended Raleigh Hills Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday school class, her friends and had a zest for life like no other. She brought laughter and joy to every situation with her contagious laugh and practical jokes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Amos Dean, Sr.; sons, John Daniel Dean and Jesse Amos Dean, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Linda K. Dean. She is survived by her grandchildren, Dr. Jesse Amos Dean, III and his wife, Kelli and Kisha Lynn Dean; grandson-in-law, Stanley Trezevant, III; great grandchildren, Sloane H. Trezevant, Olivia K.Trezevant, Presley K. Dean, Jesse Amos Dean, IV, and Cash D. Dean; and sisters, Betty Vick and Barbara Logan and her husband, James. The family requests memorials be made to Bartlett Hills Baptist Church As We Grow Foundation.
