Ernest Frank Rhodes, Sr. departed from this earthly life on July 13, 2021 at the age of 78. Frank was born February 23, 1943 in Memphis, TN to Charles T. Rhodes and Dorothy (Moshier) Rhodes. Frank leaves two children, Aimee Rhodes Hale (David) and Charlie Rhodes (Elisabeth), seven adoring grandchildren: Austin, Silas, Abigail, Pippa, Jasper, Lainey, and Annabeth, and his brother-in-law Robert J. Barg (Sandra). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Donna), his son (Frank Jr.), and four siblings. Frank was a personable, sharp-witted leader who excelled in management and salesmanship. He was a brilliantly creative man of meticulous order and purpose. He was fiercely protective of everything he held dear. To him, life was meant for upholding traditions, preserving honor, and making memories. Frank was deeply attached to his country, family, and home. He was always generous to provide loving wisdom and protection. He had proudly attained Benefactor status in the National Rifle Association and delighted in sharing his passion with others. He was captivated by nature and enjoyed bird-watching and experiencing all the wonders of God’s glorious creation. Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Frank’s life on July 21, 2021 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. Visitation at 1:30PM, followed by the funeral at 2:30PM. He will be laid to rest afterward at Memorial Park Cemetery.
