Lt. Ephraim R. Holmes' Obituary
Lieutenant Ephraim R. Holmes, 51, died Saturday, November 24, 2018. He is survived by his sons, Ethan Holmes (his mother, Adrian Brewer) and Riley Holmes (his mother, TijuanaTaylor); special companion, Danielle Coleman; brothers, Reuben Holmes and R.L. “Fat” Groves; step brother, Orlando Grant; play brothers, Philamone Berry and Corey Williams; aunts and uncle, Panola Henderson, C.R. Strong, Rubye Bradford, and Carrie Tippet and a host of family and friends. He was also instrumental in the upbringing of Bria Tresvant, Josiah Coleman, and Elijah Robinson. Lt. Holmes was a 30 year veteran with Shelby Co. Sheriff’s Office, currently serving as a Jail Lieutenant and a lifelong member of New Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. He was the Past Master of Hiram Lodge #7; Member of Etta M. Selmon #291, Order of Eastern Stars; King Frederick #38, Consistory, where he was a 33rd degree Mason all under the MWPHGLTN and Moolah Temple #54 Shriners A.E.A.O.N.M.S. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. -8 p.m. Friday, November 30th and from 11 a.m. until his service begins at 12 p.m. Saturday, December 1st all at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 7289 Hwy 64, Memphis, TN 38133. Interment will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, with full honors rendered.
