We all miss you so much

I never got to meet her but I’m going to marry her lovely grandson, Connor McDade Williams. I couldn’t be more proud of him for being an amazing partner and father to our newborn daughter. And for him to share the McDade Williams’ names is a wonderful gift. I was happy to give our daughter both of our last names. I hope Emma is looking down from Heaven and seeing how much love she shared and contributed to the world♥️

I was so very happy to see Emma Lou at a small NCHS gal gathering in Belcher two years ago after a span of probably 50 years. We were cheer leaders together for a while and I really, really thought so much of her., I doubt she ever knew how much ..
When I saw her again that day she had not lost her charm and her down- to -earthness.
Someone pointed her out to me and I ran up and grabbed her saying, "Emma Lou! I am so glad to see you!" ..a pause, as she accepted my embrace and then..and then "I'm glad to see you , too." as she pushed me gently away..,"BUT WHO ARE YOU?"!!!
It makes me laugh every time I think about it and I smile now , even as I send my sympathies at this time of loss. I know you all do and will miss her bright presence .
The last thing she said to me that day was , "Bye, Judy"...I'll never forget it and I'll never forget Emma Lou.
My prayerful thoughts go out for her family.
I talked with my sister the night she died. . It was a very large shock! Unable to travel to Memphis because of the crisis in the world today. I certainly appreciate all of her friends who have done so much, especially Lynn Sartain, her neighbor who has reached out and done more to help and comfort me than anyone is ever expected to do. My love and prayers are with you, Tracy, Connor, and Jay.

I remember your mama, in her black swimsuit, at the pool with big sunglasses. We would swim all day, and the moms would chat and laugh. She was effervescent. And present. I always liked going to your house. She will be missed. Hugs to you TRACY.
Emma was my dear friend and we had so many great times working together.
She was a wonderful person and had a big heart. I will miss her so much. Prayers for Tracy and Connor. ❤️❤️
