Judy Harwell Case
I was so very happy to see Emma Lou at a small NCHS gal gathering in Belcher two years ago after a span of probably 50 years. We were cheer leaders together for a while and I really, really thought so much of her., I doubt she ever knew how much ..
When I saw her again that day she had not lost her charm and her down- to -earthness.
Someone pointed her out to me and I ran up and grabbed her saying, "Emma Lou! I am so glad to see you!" ..a pause, as she accepted my embrace and then..and then "I'm glad to see you , too." as she pushed me gently away..,"BUT WHO ARE YOU?"!!!
It makes me laugh every time I think about it and I smile now , even as I send my sympathies at this time of loss. I know you all do and will miss her bright presence .
The last thing she said to me that day was , "Bye, Judy"...I'll never forget it and I'll never forget Emma Lou.
My prayerful thoughts go out for her family.
