Some of the most precious memories that I hold dear in my heart of my little Mama was when I was small, elementary school age, watching her wash dishes and singing the religious songs that she loved so dearly – when I hear them sung in church, they bring tears of joy to my eyes. She was a tiny little thing – only 85 pounds when Jesus took her home – but was a fire-cracker; Brian says, “No, Maw-Maw was more like fire-works!” And, she was! We can laugh about it now! We already miss her ringing our phone late at night and her not realizing that she had called our number – late dementia/Alzheimer’s. It got to be a nuisance, yes, but then Brian or I would say that we were going to miss it when she is gone – and we do! Now she doesn’t have to have a telephone – she can just talk to Jesus face to face any time she gets ready – which brings another one of her favorite songs to mind – “Face to Face With Christ, My Savior”. Oh, what a pretty lady she was and she is even more beautiful – NOW!
