Emma Jean Walden Bass' Obituary
Emma Jean Walden Bass joined her Heavenly Father on April 20, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. Born to a loving family on March 17, 1941, Emma Jean excelled in school and extracurricular activities. She graduated from Central High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with many accolades and honors and later graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with Honors. Emma Jean and Gerald were married June 2, 1962, at Lock’s Methodist Church. Emma Jean was an avid gardener, fierce tennis competitor, fun-loving friend and supportive wife and mother. She will be sadly missed as a model of grace, wisdom, talent, hard-work and loyalty.
Emma Jean will be lovingly remembered by Gerald, her husband of 59 years and their two daughters, Dawn Popovitch (Rob) of Southlake, Texas and Deborah Gibbs (Mike) of Memphis, Tennessee; her two granddaughters Katy Popovitch and Emma Frances Gibbs; her brother Lee Mitchel Walden; and her many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Due to Covid, there will be a private funeral for the immediate family.
