Emily E. Drape's Obituary
Emily Drape (McCoy) was born on May 19th, 1931 in Walnut, Mississippi. On March 15th, 2024, she left this earthly world and entered the gates of Heaven with family by her side.
She is preceded in death by her siblings (Gwendolyn, Charles, and Edith), and her loving husband of 65 years Michael Drape.
She is survived by her children Sharon (Mitchell), Jan (Gary), and Michael Jr. (Tammy); her granddaughters Monique (Matt), Brittany (Kyle), Lauren (Erica), and Nicole; as well as her great grandchildren Grayson, Jackson, Abrams, Cameron, and baby boy Haynes due in July of 2024.
Emily loved her East Frayser and Bartlett Woods Church families. She devoted her life to serving our Lord and Savior. She was also a proud navy wife who lived to serve others. She was active in many different ways in the church, but she will always be remembered by the way she ministered to others by writing cards.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Emily will be conducted on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00am in the Riverside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation an hour prior to the service starting at 9:00am. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
