Emery J Boswell's Obituary
Emery J. Boswell, 97, of Memphis, stepped into Heaven on March 7 after a brief illness. He lived a long, faith filled life and was deeply loved by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Boswell; his grandson, John; five great grandchildren—Samantha, Alexandria, Elizabeth, Madilyn, and Kaleb; and eight great great grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; his son, Roger; and his grandson, Keith.
A longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church, Emery lived out his faith through service and fellowship. He was a proud World War II veteran and volunteered in the Joyful Sounds Choir and car care for widows at the church and was an involved member of Forever Young Veterans.
Emery retired from the Shelby County Road Department, where he built a respected career. Outside of work, he loved Christian music and enjoyed playing the guitar, sharing his talents with those around him.
Emery’s kindness, service, and unwavering faith leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
