Elvie G. Davis' Obituary
Lisa Fletcher Branim of Cordova died on August 27, 2010. Lisa was born on June 23, 1970 in Memphis. She was a graduate of Harding Academy where she was a cheerleader, a member of Who’s Who Among American High School Students, and represented Harding in the Tennessee Junior Miss Contest. She was also a competitive gymnast who placed third in the Tennessee Junior Olympics. While a student at the University of Memphis, she was a Tiger cheerleader and afterwards was a member of the Memphis Rockers Pom Pom Dance Squad. After graduating from Southwest Tennessee Community College with a major in Behavioral Health Management, she continued her education as a student in the Psychology Honors Program. Lisa worked for several years as a Counselor at St. Francis Hospital, served on the Board of Directors for Magellan Health Services and was a volunteer for NAMI. She was preceded in death by her father, Riner Jay Fletcher and leaves her husband, Stephen Porter Branim of Cordova; mother, Carol Odom Fletcher of Germantown; brother, Andy Fletcher of Olive Branch (Andrea); nephew, Drew Fletcher; and uncle, Danny Odom (Dana) of Southaven and two cousins. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bill Branim and leaves mother-in-law, Dee Branim of Memphis; brother-in-law, Bill Branim of Tuscaloosa, AL (Linda); sister-in-law, Karen Peak of Ashburn, VA (Dale); and four nephews and two nieces. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, from 5-7 p.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, at 11:30 a.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
