Elmer Taylor's Obituary
Elmer Taylor, 89, Memphis resident for 60 years, passed away Friday night.He was born in Brownsville Tennessee and moved to Memphis after WWII. Elmer was a member of Bellevue Baptist for 23 years and a four year Army veteran of WWII, retiring in 1981 as a bus driver for MATA, after working there for over 30 years.He is loved dearly by his family and friends and will never be forgotten. Elmer is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Hughes Taylor; daughter & son-in-law Debbie and Mike Koren; son and daughter- in- law Ron & Karen Taylor; two sisters Carolyn Hughes of Brownsville TN and Mamie Smith of Jackson TN; five grandchildren, Daniel, Amy, Mark, Michael & John Taylor; and two great- grandchildren Parker and Carson.Services will be conducted Memorial Park Funeral Home.
