Ellen L. Peck's Obituary
Ellen Lee Peck, of Memphis, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospice Centre after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Ellen was born on September 6, 1946 in Vardaman, MS to Thomas and Flora Ramsey who both preceded her in death. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her younger sister, Deborah Booker Hull. Ellen attended Kingsbury High School in Memphis, TN Ellen entered the Personal and Corporate Insurance Industry and was a member of Senior Management for multiple companies over a career that spanned 30 plus years. Ellen was a mother who solely focused her life on ensuring her two children, Don and Stephanie, learned the skills necessary to be both strong and caring. In later life she engaged in travel and enjoying her granddaughters. All aspects of her life were based upon friendship and family. She was a woman of conviction and belief. She will be missed by many. Ellen is survived by her husband Roger Peck; Son Don (Angie) Seymour of Dublin, GA; Daughter Stephanie (Billy) Williams of Atoka, TN; Stepdaughter Michelle Peck of Memphis; Stepson Robert Peck of Memphis; Granddaughters Kristen Howard, Haley Seymour, Ashley Seymour, Alyssa Williams, and Addison Williams; Beloved caregiver Helen Pierce of Memphis. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Sunday, November 8 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment immediately following.The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis TN 38119. “Honoring Lives Behind the Stone Wall.”
