Ella B. Johnson's Obituary
Ella B Johnson was born January 16, 1925 to the late Roosevelt Coe and Margaree Coe. Ella accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Ella was a member of Christ in You Faith Temple where she was a devoted and faithful member of the Mother Board.
Ella was born in Millington Tn. She graduated from Manassas High School. She worked as a sales representative at Anderson and Clayton, Wolf Brothers, and Francis Wright Dress Shop where she retired.
Ella, who was known as Gigi by her loved ones, enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, listening to music, working crossword puzzles, flowers, fashion, and all things family.
Ella died peacefully, at her home on Friday March 8, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was given skillful, loving and quality nursing care by her devoted daughter, Rita Jackson R.N, MSN.
She was proceeded in death by her father Roosevelt Coe, her mother Margaree Coe, her husband Clarence Johnson Sr., her 2 daughters Patricia Johnson, and Shelia Johnson (Clyde), her brother Ozzie Coe and her sister Mattie Grady.
Ella leaves behind her daughter and Caregiver Rita Jackson, 2 sons Ronald Johnson (Ruth), and Clarence Johnson Jr. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, several great, and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of family, friends 7oneighborhood kids that she loved and adored.
The wake will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm in the Riverside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Homegoing service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 11:00am in the Rotunda at Memorial Park Mausoleum with repast to follow in Parkside Event Center at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
