Elizabeth Ann Paulk Bailey's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Paulk Bailey, 92, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Methodist Hospice Residence. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Bailey, her parents, Taylor and Myrtle Paulk, all seven of her siblings; Edith, Margie, Nute (Sonny), Betty, Carrie Lee, Sue and Elsie, and her son-in-law Gary. As the last surviving member of her family, she now joins her heavenly family. She is survived by her two daughters, Connie Anderson (David) and Sandi Eitel (Keith), four grandchildren; Kim, Elizabeth, Lauren and David Stephen all of who she shared a very special relationship, four great-grandchildren; Simon, Shelton, Henry and Miller as well as 23 nieces and nephews. Ann was born in Savannah, TN. At age 14, she was baptized in the muddy waters of the Tyronza River in Arkansas. She came to Memphis to attend Mrs. Wiley’s Office and Training School. She spent most of her working career as a bookkeeper at Lowry’s Shoes. She was an active member of Collierville First Baptist Church and a past member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6th from 12pm until the time of service at 1pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The burial will be privately held following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Road, Memphis, TN 38119.
