Elizabeth D Mehelich, (nee Donahue), age 83, of Olive Branch MS, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2020. She was born in Chicago, IL, on January 10, 1937 to the late Edward K. and Elizabeth F. Donahue. Cherished sister of Alice D. Mueller (deceased), Edward K Donahue, Sheila D. Reif, W. James Donahue, Joseph F. Donahue (deceased), and Anne M. Donahue. Beloved wife of the late Edward W. Mehelich for 37 years. Loving mother of Karen (husband Ken) Lettre of Houston, TX, Margaret (husband Thomas) Lose of Mentor, OH, Lisa (husband Brian) Fox of Parker, CO, Joan (husband James) Pellissier of St. Charles, IL, Maureen (husband Scott) Janse of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, Patricia (husband Richard) Causey of Collierville, TN, Rebecca (husband Scott) Butler of Olive Branch, MS, and Baby Beth (deceased). Dear grandmother of 22, great-grandmother of 5, and cherished aunt of many. Elizabeth graduated from Marywood High School in Evanston, IL and Barat
College in Lake Forest, IL. Her 37-year marriage to Edward took them to many places around the country, including Seattle, Minneapolis, Burlington, VT, White Bear Lake, MN, Clearwater, FL, Yorba Linda, CA, and Germantown, TN. She was an active member of Light of Christ Catholic Church in Clearwater, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Germantown. The funeral will be held at a later date at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch, followed by the burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. Arrangements to be made by Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the local food bank.
