Elizabeth "Mickey" Luther's Obituary
Elizabeth “Mickey” Luther 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be missed so deeply by her husband of 61 years, Jack Luther son John Luther (Beverly), daughter Judy Luther, grandchildren, Lindsey Stefanovich (John), John David Luther, and Mary Elizabeth Luther, great grandchild, Connor Luther, sisters, Nina Isaminger and Mary Lee Gilliland (Charles). Though Mickey was enthusiastic and notably successful in several diverse professions, most recently a broker in residential and commercial real estate, her greatest legacy and passion was not in her work. Mickey loved the Lord. She and Jack were devoted to their church, First Evangelical. Both were involved in Bible Study Fellowship, Mickey ultimately becoming a leader. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister’s legacy is about loving Jesus, her entire family, and friends. If she were to share now what she has counseled throughout her life, she would simply say: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. One other passion she would likely mention, “Go Tigers!!!” The family’s greatest appreciation and love is extended to all of the personal caregivers, both Amedisys and Crossroads Hospices. Thanks to all of you for loving, “Miss Mickey.” Mickey will also be missed by family pets, especially beloved dachshunds “Jabez,” and her three-legged girl, “Humble,” who faithfully stayed by her side throughout her time in Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday, September 16 and the funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 17 both at Memorial Park Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119 (901)767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”.
