Elizabeth Annette Herbers Buchart's Obituary
Elizabeth Annette Herbers Buchart April 13, 1924 – November 4, 2014 Born in Memphis to Frank Mette and Annette Raggio Herbers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Jack Buchart, and brother, Frank, Jr. Survivors include her brother, Jerome Herbers, Sr. of Hernando, Miss., friend and caregiver, Debbi Molloy, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was the beloved aunt “Betsy” to her brother’s seven children. She graduated from the Academy of the Visitation, St. Louis, Siena College, Memphis, and the old St. Joseph School of Medical Technology. She retired from Shelby County government. She travelled extensively throughout North America and Europe and is a descendent of the German founders of historic St. Mary’s Catholic Church in downtown Memphis. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 7 at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Mewtopia Cat Rescue, 1010 South Yates Road, Memphis, TN 38119 or to the charity of your choice.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
